Bryco Cup holders Yeading of the Ryman League Division One North looked strong and fit in this opening friendly against opposition from Division One South.
Home striker Errol Telemaque opened the scoring early in the first half for the hosts with a well-taken goal and from then on in Yeading were in full control. In the thirty-fifth minute Keith Newby put the Ding further ahead, slipping the ball home after some great skill from DJ Campbell. At the other end goalkeeper Delroy Preddie making his Yeading debut, looked assured behind a well-organised defence.
The second half had less to entertain as both management teams chose to take a look at trialists and new combinations of players.
The final ten minutes saw most of the action with penalty appeals at both ends turned down and Danny Jordan putting Yeading three-nil up in the eighty-second minute from a Ryan McIntosh cross.
Matt Hodson on for Preddie at half-time made a double-save from Mark Xavier at the other end but five minutes later was left stranded when Neil Stevens put home for an Egham consolation.
In the final minute Yeading triallist Michael Barima assured his side of victory and staked his claim for a starting-place with a run across the top of the box before driving home inside the upright.
